After our 1st show in Phoenix, Josh and I stayed at a great friend of ours Jason Urias' house, whom we have known and played with and around for many many years. As happens a lot, the conversation turned to the many great memories in many great places playing music for many years has afforded us, and how lucky we were to have our lives enriched by the ability to play an instrument (because we had nothing else to do in high school, being scared to death of girls). Most people don't have the chance to do what we have done and that's not lost on us, the wealth of stories and friendships gained from music cannot be bought, and it's a good thing, because we could not afford to buy one with the money we've made playing music. But it is lost on people, and most noticeably on people who have been wildly successful playing music (Jason wished that Pete Wentz was successful in his suicide attempt... ouch). Thankyou very much for sharing music with us and giving us amazing lives, stories, places to sleep, drinks and your ears, whether we're Paid in Whiskey, or paid at all, we are certainly paid in full.
